| Purpose: | The 2008 EPA/AAAS Graduate Fellowship Program Expo is a joint venture between the American Association for the Advancement of Science(AAAS) and the EPA Science Forum. On May 19th, the EPA/AAAS Graduate Fellowship Program Expo will be held at the AAAS Building. This event will focus on ways for NCER fellows to succeed in earning future grants and to expose them to a wide spectrum of careers, while allowing them to network amongst themselves and other parties present. In addition to this one day event, NCER is encouraging fellows to attend the EPA Science Forum, which is being held May 20-23 in the Ronald Reagan Building. The Science Forum's title this year is "Innovative Technologies: Key to Environmental and Economic Progress." This will include a Technology Exposition, and any EPA employees or individuals working in conjunction with the EPA can submit an innovative technology to be potentially chosen for exhibition at the event. This event will also include panels and discussions on topics ranging from energy, climate, and environment to water systems, infrastructure, and security. |

| Purpose: | The 2008 SBIR/STTR National Spring Conference in Orlando will bring together not only federal program administrators from all of the 11 SBIR participating agencies, but also venture capital and angel investors, secondary market and traditional lenders, university and federal laboratory representatives and other experts who provide assistance with the scale-up of early-stage ventures.

SBIR and ETV businesses/participants will engage in discussions about their technologies and technology needs in the regions and states. |
