| Purpose: | EPA's National Center for Environmental Research (NCER) and EPA's regional offices are co-sponsoring this environmental seminar to highlight the research conducted by scientists in EPA's laboratories and regions, and funded by EPA's Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grants program. This seminar is a unique opportunity for scientists, policy makers, program managers, industry and academia to interact with STAR and EPA scientists and engineers in Region 2. Presentations are designed to meet the interests and needs of the region with topics that include childrem's health, mercury, ecosystems, water pollution and many others. The seminar is designed to educate and engage discussions between researchers and representatives from federal, state, and tribal programs on the latest state-of-the-art in environmental research.
