Purpose: EPA’s National Center for Environmental Research (NCER) and EPA’s Region 7 office are co-sponsoring an environmental seminar to highlight the research conducted by scientists in EPA’s laboratories and funded by EPA’s Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grants program. This one-day seminar is a unique opportunity for scientists, policy makers, program managers, industry and academia to interact with STAR and EPA scientists and engineers in Region 7. Presentations have been designed to meet the interests and needs of the region (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska) with research that focuses on sustainability, genomics, and remediation. The seminar is designed to educate and engage discussions between researchers and representatives from federal, state, and tribal programs on the latest state-of-the-art in environmental research.
