The National Academies convenes a judging panel specific to the EPA's P3 Award that consists of leaders in sustainability. Judges come from industry, government, non-governmental organizations, and academia and teach, write, or conduct research on science, technology, and policy for sustainability. The panel includes representatives from fields as diverse as the P3 teams themselves and includes business, chemistry, engineering, political science, and architecture among other disciplines. A list of judges and their biographies from last year can be found at: http://www.nae.edu/nae/engenvcom.nsf/weblinks/mkez-6nqqmj?opendocument
.
Other organizations also may offer awards to further recognize the P3 teams. These are evaluated by a different set of judges who are selected by the organizations offering the awards. A list of the judges who evaluated the P3 teams for these additional awards last year and their biographies can be found at: http://www.epa.gov/ncer/p3/info/judges06.html.
