Title: Developing an integrated biomass processing plan for Wayne and Stark Counties, Ohio
Can biomass waste streams in Wayne and Stark Counties be used to create new products?
This research project is analyzing opportunities to re-channel five percent of the biomass wastestreams from 42 food and 72 wood manufacturing facilities into new products. The researchers are conducting an assessment of these biomass wastes and recommending several strategies to convert some of these wastes into bio-energy sources, bio-chemicals, or soil amendments.
