Title: Multi-faceted Sustainability on Ithaca College Natural Lands
This P3 project is developing a program for sustainable stewardship of South Hill, the natural areas south of the Ithaca College campus. The team determined the value for research and education, preservation of rare plants and ecosystems, recreation and sustainable hardwood production and siting of wind power for the seven ecological communities in 51 distinct areas on South Hill. They are also developing hardcopy, radio, and web-based educational units about the biological features of the natural and built campus.
