Title: Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Production Prototype
Most hydrogen gas is currently produced from nonsustainable sources by a process that emits greenhouse gas byproducts. Students constructed a working prototype of a photoelectrochemical cell that uses solar energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. They also evaluated the technical performance of this sustainable method to produce hydrogen without greenhouse gas byproducts.
