Title: Natural Surfactants in Paper Recycling
North Carolina State University at Raleigh students will develop protocols to use environmentally-friendly surfactants (sugar-based surfactants) to remove inks from recycled paper. The replacement of petroleum-based additives with renewable ones will lead to an enhanced recycling process with less toxic waste.
